Team

Initiatives → Team lists everyone in the organization and the roles they hold, with the number of people the plan allows. Every member can see the list. Only owners see email addresses.

Team features need a plan with a team; a personal workspace has none.

Inviting someone

Owners invite people under Invite someone:

  1. Enter their Email address.
  2. Choose the Role to grant when they join, or Decide later.
  3. Tick Can manage the organization’s membership only for someone who should invite and remove members in the sign-in service.
  4. Choose Send invitation.

The sign-in service emails the invitation. The app does not store the email address: the invitation list shows it from the sign-in service.

The Invitations list shows each invitation's status: Pending, Accepted, Revoked or Expired. Revoke withdraws a pending invitation. Once it is revoked, the same address can be invited again.

Invitations count against the plan's number of people while they are pending. When the plan is full, revoke an invitation or remove a member first.

Granting roles

Joining gives someone membership, not a role. When an invited person has joined, their row offers Grant role (invited as), using the role chosen on the invitation. Choose it to grant the role. Other roles are granted and revoked on the Admin page.

Role Can
Owner Everything, including invitations and roles.
Project lead Open and plan initiatives, and manage their teams and success criteria.
Finance steward Change an initiative's budget envelope.
Other roles Work on the initiatives they are on: update tasks and milestones, record readings, decisions and outcomes.

Every member can see the initiatives that are not restricted.

Initiative teams

Each initiative has its own team: its owner, the members added to it, and anyone assigned a task in it. Only the team, project leads and owners work on an initiative. See Initiatives.
